type.missing
og:type is missing. Level: Warning.
When it is raised
Raised when, in the first 300,000 characters of the HTML, outside comments, the page has no og:type tag with non-empty content. Only the first og:type tag that has a content attribute is read; if its content is empty or whitespace, that tag counts as absent even when a later og:type has a value. Any non-empty value passes.
What it does to a shared link
The page does not declare what kind of object it is to Open Graph readers. The Open Graph protocol (ogp.me) lists og:type among its required properties.
How to fix it
- Add an og:type tag to the <head>.
- Use "website" for a home or general page and "article" for a post or story.
