When it is raised

Raised when the API could read the image's width and height and the width is more than four times the height (a ratio above 4:1). It is raised for every card type, including player and app.

What it does to a shared link

WhatsApp documents 4:1 as the maximum aspect ratio for a link-preview image, and this image is wider than that.

How to fix it

  1. Crop or re-export the image so its width is no more than four times its height.
  2. Use 1200×630 px (1.90:1), which also meets the summary_large_image crop target.
  3. Point og:image at the re-exported file.
