image.too-small

Image is smaller than 600 × 315 px. Level: Warning.

When it is raised

Raised when the card image loaded and its measured width is under 600 px or its height is under 315 px. It applies whatever twitter:card is set to, and when it is raised image.below-1200 is not. It needs a measured size, so it does not run when the API could not read the image's dimensions.

What it does to a shared link

Facebook's image guidance gives 600 × 315 px as the size below which a link post is not given the larger image. The API's message recommends 1200 × 630 px.

How to fix it

  1. Export the card image at 1200 × 630 px, or at least 600 px wide and 315 px tall.
  2. Point og:image at the new file with an absolute https URL.
  3. If the page declares og:image:width and og:image:height, update them to the new file's dimensions.
<meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/card.png"> <meta property="og:image:width" content="1200"> <meta property="og:image:height" content="630">
