Support for ebman and pgman

From the people who build them.

Both tools are open source under MIT / Apache-2.0 and free to use at work. A support agreement gives a team that depends on them a direct line to their maintainers, its bug reports handled first, and help getting the tools working across its environments.

  • Community · free Every feature. Questions and bugs go to GitHub issues, answered when we can.
  • Team · from £1,500 a year For a few engineers using the tools day to day. A two-hour rollout call in your first month, then private email support in UK business hours with a target first reply within two business days. Your bug reports go to the front of the queue, and you hear before a release changes something you rely on.
  • Business · from £6,000 a year For teams that have the tools in a runbook or under change control. Everything in Team, with a target first reply within one business day, security and critical fixes backported to a version you pin for twelve months where practical, and two days of remote rollout help.
  • Enterprise · quoted For organisations with requirements of their own: out-of-hours cover, a contracted response time, work on site, or your own contract terms. Scoped and priced with you.

Prices are per organisation, excluding VAT, and cover both tools and any number of people using them.

When you need more than support

  • A feature your team needs. We quote it and build it. When a feature would help every user, we may build it into the open-source tool at our own cost.
  • A rollout. Environments, connections and roles set up, patch policy and masking rules reviewed, and your team shown how to use it. Quoted as days.
  • The system behind it. Polymorphism builds and modernises Java and AWS systems, and works on the databases and environments these tools look after.

What support does not cover

Support is for the tools. It does not include running, operating or recovering your databases or Elastic Beanstalk environments, and custom features are quoted separately. Team and Business cover UK business hours, and their reply times are targets for a first reply, with no guaranteed fix time. Out-of-hours cover or a contracted response time is Enterprise.

How buying works

Write to us with your company, which tools you use and whether you need a purchase order. We usually reply within one business day with a quote, and we complete your supplier forms and security questionnaire. Support is invoiced yearly in advance, payable within 30 days.

Both tools run on your own machines and send nothing to us. Their only connections are the ones you configure, such as your AWS accounts, databases, webhooks and an AI provider if you turn on ebman’s :explain, and a check against crates.io for a newer version. Their source, builds and releases are public, so your team is never locked in.
